Trained as a clinical psychologist, Dr. Rafi Kalman brings a strong understanding of child development and pedagogy to every aspect of school leadership. After earning his degrees from Brandeis University and Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Dr. Kalman spent many years supporting children and families in private practice and as a school psychologist at Green Chimneys School. He joined Queens Hebrew Academy’s administrative team in 2013 first as School Psychologist, then as Director of Student Learning, before stepping into the role of Principal.

Mrs. Jennifer Hale has been a part of the Queens Hebrew Academy community for two decades. She began her career at QHA in 2006 as a second grade teacher and has since taught across several grade levels and subjects. As General Studies and STEAM Coordinator, Mrs. Hale plans activities that empower students to thrive in a creative learning environment that provides a wider range of ways to learn and express themselves. Mrs. Hale also serves as School Dean, providing support for students and their families.
